Understanding Military & Defence Power
Military power is about more than just weapons, platforms, or defence headlines.
It is shaped by the understanding of technology, industrial competence, military capabilities, battlefield experiences, strategic decision-making, and the systems that sustain modern and ever-changing warfare.
The Bharat Kavach (TBK)is a defence and strategic affairs platform dedicated to understanding these interconnected dimensions of military power.
Our work explores how military technologies function, what military capabilities they create, how warfare in the age of data and narratives is evolving, how defence industries shape and impact strategic choices, and how these developments influence India’s security environment and global positioning.
Our guiding motto is simple:
India to the world, and the world from India’s point of view.
We strongly believe India’s strategic interests deserve to be examined with clarity, context, and conviction—not through the repetition of headlines, but through deeper understanding.
What We Cover
– Defence Technology
– Military Capability
– Modern Warfare
– Strategic Consequences
– Defence Industry & Procurement
Our objective is not simply to report what happened but help Indians understand: What changed in defence technology? How that technology works? What military capability does it create? Why it matters? And what could its wider consequences be?
Through explainers, analysis articles, visual breakdowns, interviews, and expert conversations, TBK is trying to connect technical developments with operational realities and strategic outcomes.
We aim to make complex defence tech information and strategic subjects accessible without reducing them to oversimplified narratives
Why TBK Started
The Bharat Kavach was born from a belief that India needs more informed, technical and data-driven conversations about defence, security, military capability, and its place in the world, especially from an India angle.
In an age where information forms perceptions and narratives influence strategic interests, it becomes increasingly important for responsible citizens to understand the forces, technology and the military power it creates. TBK wants to become your daily dose of that.
We wanted to build a platform that moves beyond the daily news cycle and encourages audiences to look deeper— into the technology behind weapons, the capabilities of armed forces, the lessons of evolving warfare, the logic of strategy, and the industries that make defence possible.
TBK is our attempt to contribute to that conversation.
Two-member Army
The Bharat Kavach is built by a two-member team juggling full-time jobs, personal growth arcs, deadlines, and life in general.
We are not a large newsroom or an established institution. We are a small, independent team working to build something meaningful through research, writing, visual storytelling, and consistent learning.
We’re not a giant newsroom (yet), just people who care deeply about India’s military capabilities, and getting the narrative right. So if growth feels organic and slightly chaotic, that’s because it is. Please stick around as we’re building this together.
As we grow, we hope to bring together experts, researchers, veterans, industry voices, students, and curious citizens who want to better understand the forces shaping military power and national security.
